How to Get Here

Getting to Kalbarri is very easy but it is a little bit out of the way. All in all, it is a six or seven hour drive from Perth to Kalbarri. Here are two routes that you can take:

1.  Take the Brand Highway and then turn onto the North West Coastal Highway at Geraldton, about 590 kilometers from Perth.

2.  You can enjoy a more scenic route by choosing the New Indian Ocean Drive, taking you just south of Dongara.  Then turn onto the Brand Highway and the North West Coastal Highway at Geraldton.

Next, there are two entrances into Kalbarri once you reach Northampton:

1. Take the coastal route by turning onto Port Gregory Kalbarri Road at Northampton. You will pass historic Port Gregory, Lucky Bay, Wagoe Beach, and then enter Kalbarri. (100 km)

2. Take the inland route on Ajana/Kalbarri Road and then turn off at the Kalbarri National Park. You will love passing the beautiful inland scenery. (110 km)

Another option is to get into Kalbarri by TransWA and Greyhound coach services. Find all of the information about timetables, ticket prices, route details, and more on the TransWA and Integrity websites.
